Pacific Valve Audio gd C2
Product Details
Audio gd’s ACSS headphone amplifier, the C-2, has the refinement of headphone amps costing 4X as
much. The Audio gd C-2 comes with ACSS and RCA inputs, high quality Neutrik headphone socket,
preamp out, gain switch, input selector, preamp / headphone amp switch, and zero feedback discrete
circuit.
Audio gd always excels at circuit topology and the C-2 is no exception. In addition to the Neutrik sockets
mentioned above, the C-2 uses Vishey resistors in the signal path which adds to the low signal-to-noise
ratio and bi-polar and FET transistors are used for circuit linearity as are other discrete circuit modules.
The circuit is driven by a dual mono parallel, stabilized class A voltage supply.
The Audio-gd C-2 drives a variety of headphones with ease: from the very high impedance to the low as
is not as fickle as tube amps where the headphone impedance and the output has to be tightly
matched.
