Pacific Valve Audio gd DAC 19 MK3 "B"
Product Details
Listen to the DAC 19MK3 “B” mod from Audio gd, and you will be listening to a bold,
dynamic, rich sound that sounds more like vinyl than most DACs on the market. The
Audio gd MK 3 “B” has USB, COAX and Optical inputs, RCA outputs, on/off switch and an
input selector switch.
At the heart of the 19MK3 “B” mod is Audio gd’s discrete circuit topology and expertise in
the DAC design area. DALE resistors, EVOX (RIFA) caps and SOLEN caps in the digital
section for coupling are just some of the quality circuit designs. NOVER electrolyte Caps
are custom ordered from the UK to exactly match the high end Toshiba and Hitachi
transistors.. RCA sockets are custom ordered and 24K gold plated. The power supply is
robust as well: carefully shielded from the conversion process it employs a high
performance 80W R-coil transformer that feeds 8 groups of parallel Class A voltage
regulators. The entire unit is completely shielded in a black aluminum chassis.
For the digital conversion process, the DIR9001 is configured to a low jitter value of 50PS
compared to other receivers that have jitter values as high as 200PS. Conversion is
provided by dual PCM1704UK converters.
