Pacific Valve Brigatta II
The Brigatta II is the successor to the Brigatta. Just like the Brigatta, the Brigatta II uses the
PCM1704UK DAC 60 as its base and modifies circuitry and components to achieve a stunning life-
like presentation of digital recorded material. In addition to this, the Brigatta II uses a tightly regulated
.3 ppm TXCO clock for low jitter and fast re-clocking.

USB was the driver.
The Brigatta II is not just another SPDIF DAC with a USB converter inside.  The Brigatta II uses the
Musiland Monitor 01  hardware and software handshake  to transmit data packets with the least
amount of error transmission.  Then we modified the Musiland Monitor's  circuit to reduce any jitter
during the conversion to SPDIF.  The result is a new dimension and realism in USB sound.  The
Brigatta is one of the few DACs on the market to offer reliable, low-jitter and resolute 96K support
from USB.

Bass: Surprisingly quick bass for a vacuum tube DAC - excels. Does not extend like solid state DACs.Very little mid bass coloration Mids: Transparent, lucid
and warm midrange. Very detailed, open midrange and capable of stunning retrieval in the midrange. Pushed midrange through speaker with Mike Tyson-like
force.
Highs: Extends the highs without "tingle" or beaming. 96K material was more tonally balanced in the high end.  Dynamics: Excels at dynamics without
boom. The lowest of passages is easily heard in detail with body and weight.  As the music gets loud, the Brigatta never sounds congested or strained.
Body
and Weight:
Allows you to identify instruments and vocalists in the sound stage with appropriate air. The weight strayed, however, on very loud passages.
Warm/Cold: Very warm and a perfect mate for a solid state preamp or someone who is tired of digital hash.  This warmness, however is not a "fog" around the
music, its just the opposite.
Imaging / Sound Stage:  Presents the sound stage and easily throws images to the left and the right of speaker.      Resolution /
Detail:
Considerably above the norm for its price / point. Midrange detail was outstanding.
