Pacific Valve Brigatta
Product Details
The Brigatta is the successor to the DAC 62. Just like the DAC 62, the Brigatta uses the PCM1704UK
DAC 60 as its base and modifies circuitry and components to achieve a stunning life- like
presentation of digital recorded material.

USB was the driver.
The Brigatta is not just another SPDIF DAC with a USB converter inside.  The LILO hardware and
software handshake  to transmit packets with the least amount of error transmission.  Then we
modified the LILO's circuit to remove any jitter during the conversion to SPDIF.  The result is a new
dimension and realism in USB sound.  The Brigatta is one of the few DACs on the market to make
Music Server / USB listening possible.

Pacific Valve, in deciding on the successor to the DAC 62 had several design goals:

  1. Extend the bass response to vinyl like levels
  2. Make the vacuum tubes more active in the circuit and create a liquid and transparent
    midrange.
  3. Modify the voltage layout so there is plenty of power for dynamics
  4. Allow this great sound to be accessed from a computer or some other USB device that drops
    or changes the clock signal.
  5. Keep jitter resulting from a variety of USB outputs, to a minimum.
  6. Keep the cost under $1000
