Pacific Valve Classic 8.0b Solid State Amplifier
Product Details
From Classic, comes a 150 watt (240 watts into 4 ohms) 100% solid state basic amp
called the 8.0b. The 8.0b has a soft start muting circuit, stable in 4 ohms, high
quality Toshiba output transistors and a 260 watt Torodial power transformer.
Two ounces of copper foil make up the PCB which allows the transfer of high current
to Rubycon Muse caps, WIMA MKS caps and metal film resistors. The high wattage
resistors are Japanese KOA foil chosen for its non-inductive qualities. The interior
design and layout of the circuit boards is designed to reduce electromagnetic
radiation that can hurt the incoming preamplifier signal.
A soft start circuit coupled with an IC based protection circuit that does not limit
bandwidth make up the protection features of this high power amp. The Classic 8.0b
comes with gold plated inputs and gold speaker binding posts.
