Enjoy the highly musical sound of SET (Single Ended Triode) EL84 vacuum tubes in an exquisitely built
dual port headphone amplifier from DOGE. And as a bonus, you can choose both “Normal” and “Music
Hall” sound quality.
The Doge 6210 has features that you would expect in s a state-of-the-art headphone amplifier. Two
EL84 tubes and two 12AX7 tubes make up the gain stage. A switch lets you chose between “Normal”
and “Music Hall “ sounds. The unit comes with two headphone jacks. Chose headphones with 60, 300
and 600 ohms. There is also a “line out” that allows the unit to be used as a preamp.
The point-to-point wiring used throughout the DOGE 6210. Excellent caps and resistors are chosen.
This is an all tube model and there are not any semi conductors used in the signal path. Transformers
are hand-wound types manufactured by DOGE and used exclusively in their amps, preamps and CD
players.
The Doge 6210 has presents a smooth sound stage with a variety of headphones: Grados, Beyers and
AKGs. Which to our knowledge was remarkable. The best part was the low end on all these phones
where organ pedals and the dynamics of kick drums was formable. The midrange blooms into the
phones and pushes images out in front of you. Over all, very smooth timbre form bottom to top.
