Pacific Valve Ming Da MC 34AB 07

If the Ming Da name is new to you, you are probably not alone. Were it not for Pacific Valve, one would
not have any familiarity with this Chinese manufacturer’s products. But Ming Da is not a new
company; they’ve been around since 1987.
The Ming Da MC 34AB-07 has been upgraded with various circuit changes and upgraded caps. The
MC 34AB-07 is a remote-controlled tube power basic amplifier and with a flip of a switch on
the front panel, becomes an integrated amplifier. It utilizes 8 EL34 output tubes, two 6SN7s, and two
12AT7 to produce 75 watts in ultra linear mode and 40 watts in class “A” triode mode. There is an
Alps Blue Velvet potentiometer for a volume control, input selector for 4 inputs, gold plated speaker
binding cables and point-to-point wiring throughout.
One of the more unique features of the Ming DA MC 34AB-07 is the use of the outboard “Power
Humpty” consisting of two oxygen free hand wound copper transformers that connects to the amplifier
via two high quality 8 pin cables. The advantage of the Power Humpty is increased dynamic range
and low end response for the most demanding of speaker loads and music. The Power Humpty and
8 EL34 power pentodes allows the Ming DA MC34AB-07 to even surpass its conservative rating of 75
watts per channel.
The baby blue Jinvina EL34 tubes have a minimum of 2000 hours of life or approximately two
years in general use. These unique blue tubes are new to the tube world and have shown themselves
to be dynamic and articulate. The Ming DA MC 34AB-07 includes a remote control and ships in three
boxes.
