The MD7-SE from Ming Da is a tube Stereo Pre-amp rich with four input groups and
two output groups. With an impressive frequency range of 5Hz to 100KHz, the
MD7-SE is designed for dynamic preamplification.
The MD7-SE is made up of five Vacuum Tubes to provide an optimally natural
sound reproduction, of which four of the Vacuum Tubes are notably of the high
fidelity 6SN7 type (the other, a rectifier, is a 274B/5U4G). The quality of sound
from the MD7-SE is also from an extremely low distortion, at less than 0.2%, low
Signal to Noise Ratio, and very low power consumption which would otherwise add
to noise and distortion.
With a wide input voltage range of between 100mv to 2000mv, and low output
impedance, the MD7-SE is high on efficiency while designed to retain as much
original sound as possible.
The MD7-SE Valve Stereo Preamp weighs in at 14kg and has dimensions of L48 x
W35 x H38(cm). The MD7SE has a rmote control and ships from Chicago, IL

The MD 7SE has 4 inputs, 2 outputs and remote control
Comes with a variety of tube variations to support a rich lush sound vs a more delicate balance
Uses Jensen oil caps and Mundorf throughout. The Jensen caps provide superior isolation and contribute to its unique sound.
Bass: More than typical bass for tube preamp. Listen to a warm mid bass that lets you think there is more bass than there actually is.
Mids: Warm midrange that projects the correct tonal balance. In other words, it is not laid back or forward. The preamp excels at
midrange tone and warmth. Was down right goose bumping on Maggies. Highs: Highs are extended and do not give you a sense of
roll off. They are not articulate or raspy, so they appear rolled off until you listen closely. Dynamics: Quiet preamp opens up sound
stage considerable and excels at this. Air around instruments: Neutral: the preamp neither excels at this nor is it a lightweight in its
class. Body and Weight: Superb. Opens up sound stage considerably where it excels around body and weights of actors (actors are
vocalists and instruments) Warm/Cold: A warm, but not lush preamp. Warmth varies with tube selection. See “Tube Righteousness”.
Imaging / Sound Stage: Ironic. While it opens the sound stage and does not blur the sound stage, the imaging is average for its price
class. Resolution / Detail: Slightly veiled in presentation when compared to the best preamps. Excelled when compared at preamps
below its price class. Value: An excellent choice if you would like an open, warm, middle front row preamp with excellent midrange tonal
balance (neither too cold or too sweet).
