Bringing Value to the Audiophile Since 2003
Digital Audio Level 1
Digital Audio Level 1 is using a  USB DAC connected to your computer.  It is easy to install and does not matter what version of
Windows or MAC you are using.  Its great for background listening and entertaining.  It should not be used for serious
listening.  Most important of all, begin building your music library by using EAC or MAX / RIP, do not use iTunes or any other
ripper that does not support "AccurateRip".

Excellent Choices are:
Audio gd Sparrow, Pacific Valve Fathom, Matrix Mini, Musiland MD10

are also available on
Digital Audio Level 2
The next level is to replace the USB 2.0 drivers with proprietary drivers and use DACs that handshake with the software to
effectively deliver a quality audio signal.  In level 2, you will also need a DAC after the converted USB output. DACS that "claim"
they can do high resolution audio but do not replace the drivers, are still classified as level 1.

SPDIF
Digital Audio Level 3
Your high end CD player is next.  Believe  it or not, because the computer is a true computational  device and not a music
streamer, your current CD player is still better than USB - even with driver replacement.
Digital Audio Level 4
At this level, transports that can spin the CD disks with accuracy lead the pack.  As do CD players like the Doge 6 or the Bada
HD-26. Solid state music streamers such as the QLS / CyberMini also belong in this category.  If using the QLS, this rating
only applies if you rip music using  EAC.

Digital Audio Level 5
Level 5 requires a "bit perfect" copy of the original digital music, away from the EMI and high latency PC / MAC.  The only way to
do this, is to remove the PC/Mac from the picture and place EAC ripped music on a high resolution music a device with a very
fast CPU.  The Pacific Valve / Netgear CyberServer with a solid state drive that is 20% faster than spinning drives does the trick.
