Xiansheng DAC 01

Affordability and function go into the Xiansheng DC 01. The Xiansheng DC 10 provides
digital conversion and a two input preamp with both tube and solid state output. But
that is not all that goes into this little gem: a stepped volume control, input selector and
headphone jack make up the offering. The volume control operates all converted and
preamp outputs. Pacific Valve has units specifically made for 120v operation.
The Xiansheng DC 01 has 3 digital inputs: Coaxial, Optical and USB that are fed
through a Cirrus Logic conversion chip. On the preamp side there are two inputs: Aux
and CD/DVD. The Xiansheng DC 01 accommodates headphones from 32 to 600
ohms. The Xiansheng DAC 01 has both vacuum tube and solid state outputs.
A low noise, steady R-Core transformer feeds two high current voltage regulators. Solid
state output is provided by a National Semiconductor LF353N op amp and tube
buffering through a 6N3/5670 tube.
Compact, neat and with high quality parts throughout, the Xiansheng DC 01 measures
26cm Width x 17cm Depth x 5.5cm Height, weighs about 8 lbs.
